WRITERS' LEAGUE OF TEXAS |
Resource |
RESOURCE CENTER LIBRARY Our resource library contains over 1,500 books. In an effort to promote our members' works, we have collected copies of their books - ranging from high literature to westerns, poetry to science fiction, or mysteries to mainstream. These are books that members have published in the past twenty years. If you were writing a book about what Texas writers write, this could serve as your research library. In addition, the library has an excellent collection of reference books - about writing and publishing - to assist you in improving your craft, publishing your work, marketing your book, determining the answer to legal questions (i.e., copyrights, privacy releases, nondisclosure agreements, etc.), finding examples of various contracts (e.g., Contracts with Publishers, Book Designers, Printers, Sales Representatives, Book Distributors, Independent Contractor, etc., or Author/Agent Contracts, Collaboration Contracts), using negotiation checklists, and much more. Why purchase a book when, as a member, you are welcome to
read all of the books in our library? Drop by and check out some of the
finest contemporary Texas writing. Imagine how much money you could save
each year. Easily enough to pay for your membership. If you don't live
in Austin, plan a research trip that includes a few days in our library
along with nights listening to live music throughout the city. If you
are not a member yet, feel free to come by during normal business hours
and read to your heart's content. |
