Diane followed this book up with the compelling story in her newest book Into the Water about a young woman who is found in the street screaming with handcuffs still on her wrists. She leads authorities to the last man they would ever suspect as a multi-state serial killer. Diane's next book, Written in Blood, is scheduled for release in February 2005. It is based on the case of Michael Peterson, the novelist found guilty of murdering his wife in his million-dollar mansion. She is currently working on a true crime project about the death of Susan McFarland, a Southwestern Diane is also working with her agent on the development and marketing of a fictional mystery series. Her first book was a quirky tale about a female psychologist who battled her inner demons to eliminate a new form of dependency in society.
